Today I launched MadMobsters.com. MadMobsters is a Myspace Mobsters add train like others you can find on the internet. MadMobsters aims at being the least obtrusive as well as provide longer train rides and less visits by the user. Currently the system only requires the user to update once a day.
Adding the GPG key to Apt for Debian Volatile

Just added an article concerning how to add the gpg key for volatile to apt in order to eliminate the gpg errors every time you do an update.
Although as you can see I haven't been writing any new articles on the site lately, I am not dead nor uninterested in continuing with these articles. Fact is this is my last year of school and I am working three part time jobs so time is limited. As long as everything goes okay with my grades and schooling after May I have a list a mile long of howto's and things I've done over the past months. Some of these include:
VOIP with Asterisk
Clustering firewalls with webmin
Asterisk/Cisco VOIP connectivity
Once Debian etch is released I will post any and all notes concerning upgrades from Sarge
The Spam email problem part 2 (wow have I learned ALOT)
I have TONS of Debian + Madwifi stuff for wireless networking
Other tutorials I plan on working out include:
802.1x + freeradius
802.1x + tacacs
Linux domain controller setup
Squid Proxy services
And much much more I cannot think of off hand..
My point is to stay tuned and keep checking back because I may cover something you would like or need to set up. Once school is out I am also going to check into what it would take for me to produce video tutorials and posting them on the web (youtube maybe?).
Default Browser With Thunderbird

I've been using Thunderbird for a while. I think it's one of the best email clients I've used in Linux but it always made me mad when I would click a link in an email and it would open Galeon or Konqueror. Finally after a little searching I found the solution to set Thunderbird to open Firefox when html links are clicked.
As root (probably want to close Thunderbird):
1. apt-get install galternatives
2. update-alternatives --config x-www-browser
3. Choose your browser of choice from the selection list
4. Open Thunderbird and test
Done!
